Tomas Tomasson, Global Equity Analyst

Tomas was educated at Tufts University, Boston, where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering followed by an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School in New York.  He started his career as a portfolio assistant with Bull Bear Group before becoming a foreign exchange dealer with Salomon in New York and London.  He became a specialist sell side analyst in 1999 and joined Lazard in 2003 as a buy side technology analyst and was voted #1 buy side equity technology hardware analyst in a recent Extel-Reuters survey.  He joined River and Mercantile Asset Management LLP as an analyst in October 2009.
